Her signature is excellence and originality – and a passion for precise detail. She brings her art and master-level design craftsmanship to the creative pursuit of the best visual solutions: to realize the practical and emotional aspirations of every project.
Born in India (Mumbai), Jeannine grew up in Africa (Tanzania), the UAE (Dubai) and North America, giving her the broad perspective and expansive sensitivity she brings to clients. After graduating from Rhode Island School of Design, she joined quality-driven Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. As head of SOM Chicago’s in-house graphics studio she created award-winning high-end, bespoke design for projects around the world for almost 20 years.
Jeannine started Studio J9 to expand her reach while still focusing on thoughtfully and elegantly combining visual and experiential aesthetics with effective communication. Jeannine believes a multi-disciplinary approach to design makes for a more profound impact and enjoys the opportunity to collaborate with professionals in varied disciplines.
Studio J9 provides the full spectrum of graphic design services—from print, identity, signage and way-finding systems to branded environments—achieving an integrated communications continuum. The Studio articulates client core values and develops creative ideas to express them beautifully. The resulting work are solutions that merge architecture, urban design and graphic design in the best possible way.
